Your host:
The sessions will be hosted by 22-year-old Ellena Turner who is a native English speaker and has a bachelor's degree in English literature and linguistics from the University of Zürich. Ellena lived in England till the age of 10, when she moved to Burgdorf with her family. She has always had a passion for reading and is excited to share this enthusiasm with our young readers.
What to expect in the session:
During the session we will look at key passages and themes from the chosen text, as well as interesting stylistic features. To help understand the text, a short plot summary, character list and important background information will be introduced at the beginning of the session. Together we will practice understanding and speaking English by discussing the texts and themes as a group. The goal is to learn something new, but most importantly have fun!
Homework:
There will be no homework!
